Asociación Nanda Gram (Spain)

The Nanda Gram association was established in 2003 and focuses on training as a tool for a better society. Our headquarters is located in the town of Miengo, Cantabria, in the “El Castro”, which is an estate of 15 hectares where we develop experimental ecological farming and forestry, as well as courses, workshops and seminars for personal development.

We also develop our activities in the “Villa Santa Clara” in Brihuega. It is located in the heart of the Alcarria in an estate of 300 hectares where we also practice agroecology, courses and seminars.

Our about 50 active members offer regularly workshops to groups of all kinds of ages and conditions in three main areas: ecology, healthy living and personal growth. We have a large interdisciplinary team that helps us to selflessly provide non-formal education senior. We value education highly. We are aware of the power and the need for education and training in society and that is why we constantly try to learn and improve our skills and knowledge.

We are, so to speak, an educational organization in continuous learning process. The essence is to convey useful, practical and quality knowledge in the shortest time possible. Our main profit is to offer tools to our students so they can live a healthier, greener, emotionally and spiritually balanced.

José Vallines Mira

Director of Nanda Gram association

José Vallines Mira studied Business Administration at the Saint Louis University of Missouri and Maryland University. He has participated in countless formations like VIHE Teacher training course 1-2, VIHE Communication, VIHE Leadership - Management, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Nonviolent communication, Family constellations, Permaculture, Fruit growing, etc.

He has worked for over 20 years in the international project “Food For Live” that distributes millions of free vegetarian dishes throughout the world, specially developing a social dining in Madrid’s Malasaña district which has been operating since 1994.

He has successfully undertaken several business projects, including highlight, a tour company with two travel agencies, a vegetarian restaurant, a surf school and a recovery centre for abused animals and education of pet owners. One of the keys to professional success is the coordination of groups and teamwork.
