Know more

Erasmus+ supports training assignments at adult education organizations abroad. These opportunities can consist of structured courses, training periods abroad, job shadowing or observation periods at schools or other relevant organisations.
Examples of such organizations include adult learning centers, higher education institutions, public bodies, research institutes and organizations providing courses and training.
More information for adult learning professionals is available through the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE).
A training assignment must last a minimum of 2 days and cannot last more than 2 months. This excludes travelling time.

To train abroad with Erasmus+, your organization must apply to participate in a mobility project. Adult education staff mobility is framed within the European Development Plan of the sending organizations aimed at modernising and internationalizing their mission. The mobility project must set out your professional development goals as a member of staff and make sure that what you learn is both properly recognised and shared throughout your institution.

EU grants are designed to cover your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad and courses fees if necessary, as well as offering organizational support to participating organizations.
Though EU-funded, grants are managed by the adult education organizations involved and they are responsible for making payments to individuals.
